Deposit & Allocation Issues

"Transaction Failed" on Deposit

Possible causes:

  1. Insufficient gas

    • Check: Do you have enough ETH for gas fees?
    • Fix: Send more ETH to your smart wallet
  2. Insufficient vault balance

    • Check: Do you have enough USDC in your vault?
    • Fix: Deposit assets to vault first before allocating
  3. Token not approved

    • Check: Did you approve spending in your wallet?
    • Fix: Approve the transaction when prompted by your wallet
  4. Below minimum deposit

    • Check: Does the strategy have a minimum deposit requirement?
    • Fix: Increase your deposit amount or choose a different strategy

How to diagnose:

1. Check error message in your wallet
2. Verify vault balance matches allocation amount
3. Confirm strategy is "Active" (not "Paused")
4. Check you have ETH for gas
5. Try again with lower amount

"Slippage Exceeded" Error

What it means: Output amount fell below your minimum threshold

Common causes:

  1. High bridge fees

    • Bridge fee higher than expected
    • Ate into your expected output
    • More common during network congestion
  2. Price volatility

    • Exchange rate changed during transaction
    • More common with volatile assets
    • Less common with stablecoins

How to fix:

Option 1: Wait for better conditions

- Wait 15-30 minutes
- Check network congestion status
- Try during off-peak hours

Option 2: Reduce deposit amount

- Try depositing 50% of intended amount
- May avoid hitting protocol limits
- Can deposit remainder later

"Pending" Status Stuck Over 10 Minutes

For cross-chain operations:

Step 1: Check LayerZero status

1. Click the LayerZero Scan link in your pending operation
2. Check message status

Status meanings:

INFLIGHT

  • Still processing (normal)
  • Wait 2-5 more minutes
  • No action needed

DELIVERED

  • Bridge complete, waiting for validator
  • Validator confirms every 60 seconds
  • Wait 1-2 minutes, then refresh page

PAYLOAD_STORED

  • Destination chain congested
  • Auto-retry in progress
  • Wait 10-15 minutes

FAILED

  • Operation failed
  • Refund will trigger automatically
  • Check your vault for refunded assets in 5-10 minutes

BLOCKED

  • Rare: Message blocked by destination
  • Contact support with message GUID
  • Manual recovery needed

Step 2: If DELIVERED but still pending in SynthOS

1. Validator may be catching up
2. Refresh page after 2-3 minutes
3. Check validator is running (status page)
4. If stuck after 15 mins → Contact support

Step 3: If stuck for 20+ minutes

1. Take screenshot of pending operation
2. Contact SynthOS support via Telegram (link below)

Withdrawal Issues

Can't Withdraw from Position

Possible causes:

  1. Position still "Processing"

    • Check: Is position status "Active" or "Processing"?
    • Fix: Wait for position to become Active before withdrawing
  2. Insufficient liquidity in protocol

    • Check: Does protocol have enough liquidity?
    • Fix: Try partial withdrawal instead of full, or wait for liquidity to return
  3. Pending withdrawal already exists

    • Check: Do you have another withdrawal in progress?
    • Fix: Wait for current withdrawal to complete, or cancel it
  4. Insufficient shares

    • Check: Do you have enough receipt tokens?
    • Fix: Use "Withdraw Max" button instead of manual amount

How to diagnose:

1. Check position status (must be "Active")
2. Navigate to "Pending Operations" - any existing withdrawals?
3. Try "Withdraw Max" instead of specific amount
4. Check protocol status on their website
5. Try withdrawing 50% instead of 100%

Withdrawal Stuck in "Processing"

Normal timeline:

  • Cross-chain withdrawal: 2-5 minutes
  • Validator confirmation: 0-60 seconds
  • Total: 3-6 minutes

If stuck longer:

5-10 minutes:

  • Network congestion (normal)
  • Check LayerZero Scan for status
  • Wait patiently

10-20 minutes:

  • Check message status on LayerZero Scan
  • If DELIVERED, validator will confirm soon
  • Refresh page every 2-3 minutes

20+ minutes:

  • Take screenshot
  • Contact SynthOS support via Telegram (link below)

Automatic refund:

  • If stuck for 24+ hours, automatic refund triggers
  • Your funds return to original position
  • Can try withdrawal again

"Insufficient Shares" Error

What it means: Trying to withdraw more than you own

Common causes:

  1. Fees reduced share balance

    • Automatic fee collection may have reduced shares
    • Check current position value
  2. Partial withdrawal already in progress

    • Check "Pending Operations" for existing withdrawal
    • Wait for it to complete
  3. Rounding error

    • Manual amount entry may exceed actual shares
    • Use "Withdraw Max" button instead

How to fix:

Option 1: Use "Withdraw Max" button
- Automatically calculates maximum withdrawable amount
- Accounts for fees and rounding

Option 2: Withdraw slightly less
- If trying to withdraw 1,000 USDC
- Try 995 USDC instead
- Leaves buffer for fees

Option 3: Check pending operations
- Navigate to "Pending Operations"
- Cancel or wait for existing withdrawal
- Then try again

Wallet Connection Issues

Wallet Won't Connect

For social wallet users:

Issue: Login screen stuck

Fix 1: Clear browser cache and cookies
1. Browser settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data
2. Select "Cookies" and "Cached images"
3. Clear data for synthos.fun
4. Try logging in again

Fix 2: Try incognito/private mode
1. Open incognito window
2. Navigate to app.synthos.fun
3. Try logging in
4. If works, clear cache in normal browser

Fix 3: Try different browser
- Chrome (recommended)
- Brave (recommended)
- Firefox (supported)
- Safari (may have issues)

Issue: "Failed to create wallet"

Fix: Check email for verification
1. Check spam folder
2. Click verification link
3. Return to app and try again

For MetaMask users:

Issue: "Wrong network"

Fix: Switch to Scroll network
1. Open MetaMask
2. Click network dropdown
3. Select "Scroll" (or add if not present)
4. Refresh SynthOS app

Issue: "Connection rejected"

Fix 1: Check you're on correct account
1. Open MetaMask
2. Verify account address
3. Switch accounts if needed
4. Try connecting again

Fix 2: Reset MetaMask connection
1. MetaMask → Settings → Connected sites
2. Find synthos.fun and disconnect
3. Refresh page
4. Connect again

Issue: Multiple wallets interfering

Fix: Disable other wallet extensions
1. Browser extensions settings
2. Disable Phantom, Coinbase Wallet, etc.
3. Keep only MetaMask enabled
4. Refresh page and try again

"Insufficient Gas" Error

What it means: Not enough ETH to pay for transaction

How to fix:

Step 1: Check ETH balance

1. Navigate to dashboard
2. Check EOA wallet ETH balance

Step 2: Send ETH to smart wallet

1. Copy your smart wallet address
2. Send ETH from your EOA wallet
3. Network: Must be Scroll
4. Amount: $5-10 recommended
5. Wait for confirmation (30-60 seconds)

Step 3: Retry transaction

1. Refresh page
2. Verify ETH balance updated
3. Try your transaction again

Prevention:

  • Keep $10-20 ETH in smart wallet
  • Refill when balance drops below $5
  • Monitor gas balance regularly

Dashboard & Display Issues

Position Value Doesn't Match Expected

Is this normal?

Small fluctuations (less than 1%):

  • Normal volatility
  • Receipt token price changes
  • Protocol deposits/withdrawals affect share price
  • APY is estimate, actual may vary

When to investigate:

Sustained drop (greater than 5%):

  • Check if underlying protocol had incident
  • Visit protocol's official channels
  • Check for security announcements
  • Consider withdrawing if concerned

Negative yield over 7+ days:

  • May indicate protocol issue
  • Check APY trends on protocol website
  • Compare with other users' experiences
  • Contact support if suspicious

Sudden large drop (greater than 10%):

  • 🚨 Potential security incident
  • Check protocol's Telegram/Twitter immediately
  • Check SynthOS announcements
  • Consider emergency withdrawal

Vault Balance Doesn't Match Positions

This is normal if:

You have pending operations:

Total Value = 
  Idle vault balance
  + Active positions value
  + Pending deposits (in transit)
  - Pending withdrawals (in transit)

Recent deposits haven't been allocated:

- Deposited 1,000 USDC
- Not yet allocated to strategies
- Shows as "Idle" in vault balance
- This is correct

Fees were recently collected:

- Performance fees deducted on withdrawal
- Reduces total value
- Check transaction history for fee details

How to verify:

1. Check "Pending Operations" section
2. Add up: Idle + Active + Pending
3. Should equal "Total Value Locked"
4. Refresh page to update values
5. If still doesn't match, contact support

Dashboard Not Updating

Possible causes:

  1. Browser cache

    • Fix: Hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R)
    • Or clear cache and reload
  2. Validator delay

    • Fix: Wait 60 seconds (validator cycle time)
    • Then refresh page
  3. API delay

    • Fix: Check status page for API issues
    • Wait 2-3 minutes and try again
  4. Pending transaction

    • Fix: Wait for transaction to confirm
    • Check transaction status on block explorer

Force refresh:

1. Hard refresh: Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac)
2. Clear cache: Browser settings → Clear cache
3. Log out and log back in
4. Try different browser

AI Recommendations Issues

AI Analysis Taking Too Long

Normal analysis time: 2-3 minutes

If taking longer:

5-10 minutes:

  • Wallet has extensive history
  • Scanning multiple chains
  • Wait patiently

10+ minutes:

  • May be stuck
  • Refresh page
  • Try logging out and back in
  • Contact support if persists

New wallet (no history):

  • Analysis completes instantly
  • Defaults to conservative recommendations
  • Will improve as you use platform

Transaction History Issues

Transaction Missing from History

    • Check "Pending Operations" section
    • Wait for confirmation
  2. Cache not updated

    • Hard refresh page
    • Clear browser cache

    • Check wallet for failed transaction
    • Verify on block explorer

App Loading Slowly
